Last Night

The moon looked especially creepy and witchy through the trees.

And you know how I love me some creepy and witchy.

Isn’t there a scene in the opening of Scooby-Doo that looks like this?

I have been working away on a very rewarding project. When it’s ready to unveil I will show it to you all. In the meantime, I have at last succeeded in planting a butterfly garden. My garden is filled with fluttery goodness.

Watching CNN

“Fears have emerged that the collider could produce black holes that could suck up anything around them — including the whole Earth. Such fears prompted legal actions in the U.S. and Europe to halt the operation of the Large Hadron Collider, alleging safety concerns regarding black holes and other phenomena that could theoretically emerge.” (Full Story)

This led to a discussion of exactly what you might have time to do or say if a black hole did open up. The husband turns to me and says, “I’d just like to say, if there is a black hole that sucks us all in, I’ve had a really good time.”

Ditto, baby. Ditto.

That’s What I Call a Guardian Angel

I’ve always loved lions. And I’ve always loved wings, especially big sturdy wings. So I really love this guy.

He was carved on the corner of a building in London, just a plain old building, nothing fancy about it at all except for our friend here. If I’d lived near that building growing up, I’d have imagined he came down off the cornice and followed me around. Of course he would have been able to talk, and I’d have invented my own personal C.S. Lewis book. I’d probably have very nearly failed third grade because my imaginary adventures with my winged lion were more interesting than multiplication. It’s a good thing I didn’t find him until years later, when I already knew the multiplication tables (sort of).

Wow! I set up and Etsy shop over the weekend, (there is a subtle little link over on your left) and somehow I made it to the front page! Someone included this shot in their treasury. Here is the link to the treasury, which will expire at 11:30 eastern time Wednesday night. Hurry! While I’m quasi-famous.
